Wyoming Bill of Sale Form

Please note that Federal and State law require that you state the mileage upon transfer of ownership. Failure to complete or providing a false statement may result in fines and/or imprisonment!

To complete an odometer disclosure statement you may use our Bill of Sale Form.

Standard license plates and vehicle registrations are obtained through the local county treasurer office in the county seat of the county of residence.

Wyoming titles and lien filings are processed through the local county clerk office in the county seat of the county of residence.

How to complete the Wyoming Bill of Sale Form

The Wyoming Bill of Sale is composed of three sections and below you can learn how to fill out this form:

Section 1 of the Wyoming Bill of Sale

The first section contains the vehicle information. Here you need to fill out the Make, Model, Year, Body type, Color, and VIN or Vehicle Identification Number. Also fill out next the Odometer Reading at the time of transfer. Use here only digits, no tenths. Lastly check if this is the Actual Mileage. Or you may check if the Odometer is in excess of its mechanical limits. If it’s the case you may check also if the odometer reading is not the actual mileage:

In the second section fill out first the Seller information. So here complete the full name of the seller. The name must be PRINTED. This means to use only Capital Letters to write SELLER’S NAME. Then fill out seller’s street address, seller’s city and state.

Further you need to fill out the Buyer information. Start with the full name of the buyer. The buyer’s name must be PRINTED. This means to use only Capital Letters to write BUYER’S NAME. Additionally fill out buyer’s street address, city and state. After all these details write the sum of the transfer price of the vehicle or the word GIFT.

Lastly indicate if this vehicle was a gift and indicate the relationship with the buyer (e.g. parent, spouse, friend) and the value of the vehicle:

The last section is the seller’s statement about the details from this Bill of Sale form. Finally fill out seller’s signature, date, and buyer’s signature:
